Scouting Locations

Today's blog is all about our shooting locations. Our original plan was to use several different locations. We knew we needed a quiet place to film. This meant either a secluded place or a private place. We knew we needed to search for a good, quiet place to film, so we started brainstorming places in our area. We all had some ideas, but none really worked. My dad's office might be where we film the office scene, but it might be too much travelling for everyone for such a short scene. For the car scenes, we can use any streets that are off a main road. So anyone's neighborhood would work. Nathaly had some locations we could use to film, but I think they might not fit too well with the image we had for the film. For the party scene, we can use Nicolas' backyard. It has a lot of space and is good for hosting events. We all have limited time, making this planning part crucial. If we don't have enough time, we may film everything at Nicolas' house. It should have everything we need for all scenes. The preferred idea would definitely be to film at all the different locations, but we won't know how much time we have until filming day. To match better with the idea we had, we are going to film at night/evening. Filming at night could make it harder to see, so an area with a good streetlight may be necessary in this case. To avoid wasting time on filming day, Nicolas volunteered to drive around his neighborhood and find an area with good lighting at night. Hopefully, we can film at the different locations, but I guess we will have to wait and see.
