Production Blog: First Day Filming
We finally started filming today. Everyone arrived on time to my house. This was a great start. The first thing we did was organize our props. We need to assemble a few bags and some supplies to put inside. We decided to use duffel bags. We did this because they can open up to show lots of supplies. Once we had all of our supplies organized we started filming. The first things we shot were outside. We wanted to have a good establishing shot for our film. So, we spent way too long on that first shot. While we were outside we filmed the car shots as well. This meant we had to get in and out of the car and drive off several times to get the shot we wanted. After some time outside we finally moved inside. Now inside, we started filming the scenes with the props. Again, it took way longer for us to get the perfect birds-eye-view angle. Eventually, we got it right. After that, we got our costumes put together. We then filmed the introductory scene where the camera gets a full view of the actors. The footage was reviewed and we agreed it was a good days work.
