Production Blog: Effects and Transitions

 This blog is about the final editing. The plan was to meet at Tom's house again. The reasoning was the same as last time. Tom had the best computer and editing skills. However, his internet went out. He said something with the router was messed up. I didn't really know what it meant, but I knew we needed to go somewhere else. After a brief discussion, it was decided that we would go to Nicolas's house. We made sure to download everything to a USB before we left. The first thing that we did at his house was upload all the videos. This took a while so we played on his Xbox while we waited. Once it was finished we started picking out transitions. I made this easy because, I had added transitions to the video clips. They would start on a black screen, go to the character, and go back to black. I think it made it look pretty smooth and added a lot to the film. After the transitions were done, we worked on the music. This was easy enough. It took less than 20 minutes to find the song, download it, edit it into the film, and perfect it. Everything else went by really quickly. The project was finished and we all had fun. We decided the best way to celebrate was to play on his Xbox again.

Production Blog: Filming Part 2

 Todays blog is about filming, again. This time we filmed the night scenes. The best time for this was around 7 PM. The hardest part of the day was finding the right place. The street had to be empty. Traffic would have made filming in the middle of the street really hard. It could also have been too loud for the camera and blocked out our voices. To find the best street we just drove around. We spent almost 45 mins searching for the perfect place. Eventually we found it. It was just what we were looking for. It was dark and had almost no traffic. We got our places set up and got ready to film. Our group went over the script again. Then the angles and movements needed. Once everyone was ready and in place we started. These outdoor scenes were really fun to film. The only issue was the cold. We were outside for a while and it was windy. Filming took about 2 hours. Overall today went great and I'm excited for the next one.
