Production Blog: Park Scenes

Last weekend my group was able to starting filming our music video. It was a unanimous decision to show up in shorts and t-shirts. The first thing that was discussed was how to film the video if all of us were going to be in the video. There was a struggle with finding a good place to set the camera. I ended up setting the camera somewhere that it would be able to record without an issue. The next thing that had to be discussed was the lack of rain. The solution was to use a hose and add in some effects later. The original plan was to do it in the rain. This was because the storyboard was created during the rainy season when it rained nearly everyday. Finally, after solving all the present issues, I set up the camera and got into place for the scene. Once the camera was rolling, everything else went smooth. I completed my scenes flawlessly. My favorite scene was the one where I get picked up by my 'Uber'. I had my little brother drive a golf cart over to me. To prepare for this scene I had to spend a few hours before-hand teaching him how to drive. This took me a lot longer than expected, but paid off in the end. I made sure to do this before Tom and Nicolas got there, to avoid them being worried about his driving. They did express some concerns, but did agree to hop on. All of our park scenes were finished and we agreed to film the other scenes another day. It was decided that the next filming day would be the rest of the scenes.
