My group for the Music Video

I created my group by first thinking about who lives close to me. I reasoned that driving 40 mins away wouldn't be a good idea. So I decided to ask my good friend Nicolas Williams to work with me. The only issue was he had no idea what the project was, because he had the class later in the day. Once he learned what the project consisted of, he agreed and we created our group. Later my friend Tom Lluch texted me, asking to join my group. Now I am working with Tom Lluch and Nicolas Williams. I chose to work with them for several reasons. One I am good friends with both of them. Two, I live close enough to them that transportation is not an issue. Three, I have worked with both of them before and know that we will be able to complete the project on time. The song we chose was Umbrella. It was made in 2007 by Rihanna. We chose this song because it seemed like a good clean song that we could all agree on using. Some of our other song choices were "Moon" by Kanye West, "Cake by the ocean" by DNCE, "Heartless" by Kanye, or "go2damoon" by Playboi Carti. We wanted to do "cake by the ocean" and have a story line around eating cake by the ocean. We didn't use it due to a bad word. We also couldn't use "go2damoon" for the same reason. We spent some time debating on "Heartless" or "Umbrella". After some deliberation, the overall decision was "Umbrella".

Production Blog: Filming Part 2

 Todays blog is about filming, again. This time we filmed the night scenes. The best time for this was around 7 PM. The hardest part of the day was finding the right place. The street had to be empty. Traffic would have made filming in the middle of the street really hard. It could also have been too loud for the camera and blocked out our voices. To find the best street we just drove around. We spent almost 45 mins searching for the perfect place. Eventually we found it. It was just what we were looking for. It was dark and had almost no traffic. We got our places set up and got ready to film. Our group went over the script again. Then the angles and movements needed. Once everyone was ready and in place we started. These outdoor scenes were really fun to film. The only issue was the cold. We were outside for a while and it was windy. Filming took about 2 hours. Overall today went great and I'm excited for the next one.
