Production Blog: Creation & Song Decision
The last blog left the project organized and ready to be formed into one long video. These clips were all in the order I wanted, but the timing wasn't exactly right. It was also still missing the intro and outro slides. I realized I could make the slides on iMovie and didn't need to use PowerPoint. I added a black background, to start with. Then I put in the text. I realized I could add a transition for the words and started trying to find one I liked. I eventually settled on the transition called 'focus'. I repeated this process for the outro and was ready to start working on the timing. I made each picture show for 8 seconds. The first video was shortened to 9 seconds. The second video was only 3 seconds. In total the pictures were 48 seconds and the videos were 12 seconds. The last part that needed to be added was the song. I couldn't decide on a good song to use for the commercial. I knew I needed something clean that could be used in the background. I thought about any songs I liked and if they could represent me in any way. Then I came up with the idea of using a song from my favorite movie as a child. I decided to use "Life Is a Highway". It is from the Pixar movie 'Cars'.
